Founded in 1891, this Tampere association of about 1,000 members works to preserve Finnish culture, traditions and language. It runs Suoma, a restaurant serving classic dishes made from Finnish and local ingredients, and members have clubs ranging from billiards, gastronomy and golf to national defence, science and technology.
Everyone is welcome to eat here, except during members-only events. Lunch, brunch and dinner are served, there is a buffet, and the bar offers beer, wine, cocktails and spirits. Tables can be reserved, and rooms, including private dining rooms, can be hired for parties, meetings and training. The toilet is accessible, and cards and mobile payments are accepted.
