This national association brings together recovery communities for people recovering from substance and other addictions, and their relatives. It supports substance-free, volunteer-based peer support activities known as A-kilta groups, with over 50 member associations across Finland's wellbeing services counties. Activities also include a women's section and functional peer support.
Members of the A-kilta groups can use training services, guidance and advice, and events. Social and health care professionals and organisations can attend A-kiltainfo information sessions. The association publishes the Vesiposti magazine, research and reports, and recovery stories. The website is available in Finnish, Swedish and English.
Are you involved in A-kilta activities? Share your experience in the comments, it may encourage others.
