Founded in 1949, this branch of the Finnish Industrial Union represents metal industry workers at their workplaces. It has nearly 3,000 members employed by around 200 employers, along with about 250 student members.
Members can get help with employment matters, and unemployed members also receive job-search support. Women's, pensioners' and youth sections organise activities, with courses and informal gatherings also offered. Office staff can be contacted by phone, email and social media.
