Part of the MIELI network, the association was founded in 1975 and registered independently in 1989. Its main activity is the MIELI Osviitta Crisis Centre, established in 1993. It also organises professionally facilitated groups, training and events, and carries out suicide prevention work using the Linity model.
Crisis conversations are available without a diagnosis or referral, in person, by phone or by video. Some support is available in English. The association contributes to the national crisis helpline and SEKASIN chat and recruits volunteer crisis helpers.
If you wish, share your experience of the association on Suomi Guide to help others looking for support.
