The association has maintained and operated the public sauna since 1989. According to its website, it is Finland's oldest public sauna still in operation. The city-owned complex includes a stone sauna building completed in 1915, protected under the Built Heritage Act in 2023.
There is a café and a massage room. Swimwear is optional at mixed-sauna evenings, and the café hosts quizzes and bingo. Sauna etiquette is observed. A defibrillator in the café entrance hall is accessible outside sauna opening hours.
