Established as an independent club in 1929, the amateur radio association uses the OH3NE callsign and belongs to the Finnish Amateur Radio League. It broadcasts a weekly bulletin on FM repeater frequencies and operates a remote-controlled station at Pyynikki lookout tower. Its history includes links to early radio broadcasting in the 1920s.
Club rooms are at Rientola centre, with open club evenings welcoming everyone. Accessible facilities include the entrance, seating, parking and toilet. There is no hearing loop.
