Founded in 1945, this Tampere settlement association is non-profit and politically and religiously independent, and it belongs to Suomen Setlementtiliitto, the national federation of settlements. Its doors are open to everyone, with hobbies, courses and volunteering for all ages, plus concerts, lectures, flea markets, exhibitions, singing evenings and seminars.
The senior club always serves lunch and coffee. There are harmonica, computer and amateur radio clubs, a singing group and a band, and seasonal events range from outdoor cinema evenings to pilates in the park. Allotment gardening is also on offer, courses are booked online, and the premises can be rented.
