This summer university has been providing education in Turku since 1936, and its courses are open to everyone all year round. The programme includes preparation for the matriculation exams, open university teaching and language courses such as Finnish for speakers of other languages, Spanish, English, Swedish, Icelandic and Japanese. Other subjects include social, health and education work, business and working life, marketing and visual communication, and wellbeing and hobbies.
Teaching is on site, remote or online, and public lectures are also held. Organisations can commission courses through an order form. Accessible seating is available, but the toilet is not wheelchair accessible.
