On the bank of the Aurajoki river in Turku, near the Föri ferry, this cultural centre is run as a community of artists and cultural organisations. The property is maintained by a foundation whose remit includes supporting culture in Turku, and artists and cultural groups can rent affordable spaces here. It hosts the multi-arts festival Manifesti and has its own podcast, Manikulaari, produced by Rabbit Visuals, which has an office and studio on site.
A visit usually takes 1.5–4 hours. The car park, entrance, seating and toilet are wheelchair accessible, and cards are accepted. Information is available in Finnish, English and Swedish.
