Founded in 1917, this girls' and women's scout group became a sea scout group in 1962. Activities include sailing, dinghy sailing and trips on land and in the forest. Age groups range from seven-year-olds to adults.
The annual programme includes a summer camp, a week-long cruise, weekend trips and an autumn outing. A parents' support association has supported the group since 1993. It publishes Ruoriapila magazine twice a year and sells fundraising products online.
