Founded in 2018, the non-commercial workshop lets visitors repair or build their own bicycles. Volunteers advise rather than do repairs for them. Basic and specialist tools and used spare parts are available. Participation in the Vapaa Ratas ry association's activities does not require membership.
The workshop relies on donations and volunteers, organises group rides and pop-up workshops and follows safer-space principles. Entry is through an 80 cm door, but the floor has level differences. The toilet, seating and parking are not accessible, and there is no hearing loop. Guide dogs and pets are welcome.
Tell other DIY cyclists on Suomi Guide about working on your bicycle at the workshop.
