Established in 1961, the foundation provides financial support for the university's development and expansion. It funds basic and applied research and awards grants and subsidies to students and staff. Its assets consist of donations and the returns on them.
Companies, public bodies, associations and individuals can donate. The foundation is based at the university. The entrance and parking area are wheelchair accessible.
