The local heritage association preserves local history, the environment and community spirit. Activities include guided cemetery tours, excursions, lectures and the summer Koskilaissunnuntai event. Its history and heritage group organises photo exhibitions and identification sessions and publishes calendars.
A slideshow on the town's history is available in PowerPoint and PDF formats. A children's colouring activity book has 11 drawings of local buildings and landscapes. Membership applications can be submitted online. Annual meetings are held at Myllypirtti.
