This harness racing centre is run by Pohjanmaan Ravi ry. The first trotting races were held in 1969 on the former airfield site, on a track built by volunteer effort. The opening races took place on 19 July 1970. The wooden grandstand was built in 1970 and a new grandstand was completed in 1986.
The track hosts pony clubs, horse shows for mares and foals, and other horse-related events. A canteen serves visitors during events, and betting on the races is arranged together with Veikkaus, which provides a large share of the revenue. The car park and entrance are wheelchair accessible.
