The association gives information, guidance and support on memory problems and living with a memory disorder. It serves the southern part of North Ostrobothnia and Central Ostrobothnia, and refers people to municipal memory clinics for memory examinations.
On Mondays, walk-in counselling without an appointment is held at the Pyhäjärvi and Kokkola service points. Monthly walk-in memory counselling and a lecture take place at the OmaisOiva office on set dates. Advice is also available by phone and email from the Muistiluotsi (Memory Guide) staff, and a peer support phone line for informal carers runs every evening. The website offers general information on brain health and memory.
