The association promotes wind music through a band of around 13 players conducted by trumpeter Markus Ihajoki. It gives autumn and spring concerts, opens the summer season on May Day and plays the traditional Summer Hymn at the end of the school year. It collaborates with music institute wind students, choirs and soloists.
Ensembles of different sizes can be booked for private events through the cultural office. New players with basic wind instrument training are welcome to try playing with the band.
