This British-style pub in Helsinki belongs to the Oluthuoneet chain but has a history of its own: the story goes that it began as a French restaurant opened by an English gentleman in 1910 and moved to its present premises in 1955. In 1976 Elanto turned it into a British pub, and the solid wooden counter was brought over from England the same year.
Rotating real ale is served, a fresh bitter that matures in the pub's own cold room, along with products from several Finnish microbreweries and traditional British snacks. You can play darts and watch British football. S-Card is accepted, and the menu is on the website.
