This kiosk at the Teurastamo site in Helsinki sells bread from the bakery on the same site, baked by hand in a heat-retaining stone oven over about two days. The dough uses Finnish flours and sea salt ground in-house, and the rye sourdough dates back to the 1800s. The bakery was founded in 2013 by the Väyrynen cousins and their families and is led by Mika and Nina Väyrynen; the family story goes back to 1905.
The range varies and includes malt loaf, rye loaf, walnut bread, honey toast bread, rieska flatbread and ciabatta. Bread is sold to take away, and orders are taken by email. Cash is not accepted, only cards and mobile payments. Parking is free.
