This Helsinki bakery hand-makes Kainuu-style treats from Finnish ingredients. It began in the early 1990s, when visitors to the Kuhmo chamber music festival kept asking for fresh rönttönen, small rye pies from the Kainuu region, and other local treats. A bakery family from Kuhmo then asked a younger sister living in the Helsinki area to set up here. There are also shops in Järvenpää and in Nikkilä, Sipoo.
The range covers breakfast items, savoury bakes, buns, cakes, breads, seasonal and gluten-free products, and celebration cakes are made to order. The weekly lunch includes coffee or tea. Orders can be collected or delivered, parking is free, and the entrance is not step-free.
