Housed in the Tennispalatsi building, originally built as a tennis hall, Helsinki's city art museum shows modern and contemporary art. It looks after the City of Helsinki's collection of about 11,000 works, organises the Helsinki Biennial and publishes a map of the city's public art. There is also a gallery dedicated to Tove Jansson.
Guided tours and art workshops for groups are booked by email. An audio guide and information in plain Finnish are available, and the collection can be browsed online on Finna. TOVE Café & Bakery serves pastries, lunch, coffee and wine. The entrance and toilets are accessible, there is accessible parking, and wheelchairs are available.
