Part of Luomus, the Finnish Museum of Natural History at the University of Helsinki, this museum has five permanent exhibitions over four floors, covering Finnish nature, world nature, the history of life, bones and the changing climate. Visitors can stand at the feet of a dinosaur, and a moose statue marks the main entrance.
Visits usually take one to two and a half hours. Tickets are sold online, and the audio guide plays on your own phone in 60 languages. The exhibitions are step-free except for the winter corner, the accessible entrance is on the courtyard side, and wheelchairs and rollators can be borrowed at the ticket desk. Cash, cards, Epassi, Edenred and Museokortti are accepted.
