This Helsinki museum is the home of Marshal Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim, in a building dating from the 19th century. A major renovation has restored the home with respect for its history. Besides the home itself, there are cultural history collections, a library and an archive.
Visits are always by guided tour. Places are limited, so it is worth buying a ticket online in advance to secure your spot. A visit usually takes about an hour and a half. The building is not wheelchair accessible. The website is in Finnish, Swedish and English.
