This Helsinki museum and archive, formerly the Päivälehti Museum, collects and studies media history, news history and communication phenomena, and it is linked to the HS Foundation. It has permanent and temporary exhibitions, guided tours, workshops and a print cellar. In its media school, pupils in grades 8 and 9 try journalism, and the finished articles are published in real media.
Admission is free. The electronic archive can be studied at a research terminal, which researchers book in advance. The entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible, the museum is suitable for children, and Wi-Fi is available. A visit usually takes from half an hour to 3 hours.
