Housed in the Cable Factory (Kaapelitehdas) in Helsinki, this museum is devoted to photographic art. Its first permanent exhibition, Etsin ("viewfinder"), explores why and how photographs make us feel and act. It runs photography courses, including darkroom courses, and through the Taskualbumi online platform anyone can donate digital photos to its collections on changing themes.
A visit usually takes 45 minutes to two hours. Guided tours and workshops for groups, such as a darkroom workshop, are booked via the booking form or by email. Museokortti is accepted, and the entrance, toilets and parking are accessible. There is also a podcast and an information and picture service.
