Mehmet and his wife opened this Helsinki spot for Turkish home cooking in 1997, starting with a lunch buffet. In 2010 the premises more than doubled, an à la carte menu was added and opening hours were extended into the evening. The menu includes meze such as hummus, tzatziki and stuffed vine leaves, soups, lahmacun (Turkish flatbread), adana and iskender kebabs, lamb skewers, falafel and imam bayıldı.
A varied buffet is laid out at lunchtime, and baklava is served for dessert. Tables can be booked, food can be taken away, and there is outdoor seating. Beer and wine are served, and there are vegan options. The entrance and toilet are step-free, and cards and mobile payments are accepted.
