This functionalist-style restaurant and bar in Helsinki has been running since 1946, carrying on the legacy of the earlier Kuusihokki at the same address, and the family behind it spans four generations of food culture and entrepreneurship. The vintage functionalist interior features lamps by designer Paavo Tynell and appeared in Aki Kaurismäki's film Ariel.
Lunch is served on weekdays and an à la carte menu of classic dishes in the evenings, with wine, other alcoholic drinks and coffee. Tables can be booked by email or phone, and same-day bookings by phone only. The premises suit private events and group lunches. A visit usually takes 30 minutes to an hour and a half.
