This federation of parent associations has offices in Helsinki and Vaasa, and its motto is “Föräldrar behövs” (parents are needed). It supports them with membership and member benefits, lectures, workshops, guidance for class parents and help with communication. For schools and day-care centres it offers staff training, interactive parents' evenings and the En kvart om dagen (a quarter of an hour a day) initiative.
Parents can subscribe to the federation's magazine, and parent groups can join as members and book lectures. The federation also publishes columns and a podcast. The website is mainly in Swedish, with short summaries in Finnish and English.
