Founded in 1974 by families who had adopted from abroad, the organisation promotes children's rights and international child protection through adoption, sponsorship and development cooperation. It became an official Finnish adoption service provider in 1985.
Post-adoption services include root trips and family support. Global education materials serve early childhood settings and schools. Ethical gifts support children's rights in six countries. The organisation belongs to EurAdopt and the Nordic Adoption Council.
