The nationwide service organisation supports children, young people and families and supplies materials for education and youth work professionals. Its members include 275 Evangelical Lutheran parishes and four other associations. Its publishing house, Publiva, produces children's books and educational materials.
Activities include parenting support, support for young people's mental wellbeing and coping, and international confirmation camps attended by around 200 young people each year. It also runs the Tievatupa hiking and course centre in Saariselkä, with accommodation. Responsibility work focuses on ecological sustainability and children's rights.
