This religiously and politically non-affiliated settlement association does social youth work in the capital region, with a gender-sensitive and culture-sensitive approach. The work is preventive and corrective and carried out by multi-professional teams. Its roots go back to Kallio settlement work in 1919; the association was founded in 1974 as Kalliolan Nuoret ry and took its current name in 2018.
Activities include Tyttöjen Talo and Poikien Talo, sexual education, multicultural work, young parents' work and supported youth housing. It also runs training, seminars and lectures for youth professionals and students, and leads the ESR+-funded SuSe project.
