This Helsinki association is connected with the Luhmo music institute, which runs a music playschool and a music school for nearly 500 students. Instruments taught include violin, viola, cello, flute, recorder, clarinet, trumpet, kantele (the Finnish zither), piano, guitar and ukulele, along with pop and jazz singing. Students play in string, wind and guitar ensembles, and concerts are held at Huopalahti and Pitäjänmäki churches and the Helsinki Music Centre.
Applications go through the music institute's website, and instrument demonstrations and open days introduce the teaching. The early-childhood groups Soitinpaja and Soitinkaruselli have their own sign-up.
