This is the national umbrella organisation for student and higher education sport in Finland. It was founded in 1924 as SAUL and took its current name in 1971. It supports universities in developing exercise culture and sports services and speaks for students to decision-makers.
It organises the national student sports championships (OSM-kisat) and sends Finnish representatives to international student events. It runs the Liikkuva korkeakoulu network and offers member benefits, insurance for student events, training and support for student sports clubs. The annual general meeting is its highest decision-making body.
