This non-profit association promotes mediation and restorative practices in Finland. It brings together mediators, experts and people interested in mediation from different fields of society, and aims to strengthen the position of mediation. Its work supports networking, the sharing of research-based knowledge, and events and programmes.
Mediation is covered in areas such as neighbour, family, construction, criminal and workplace disputes, and in early childhood and school settings, as well as international mediation, environmental disputes and court-annexed mediation. Its VERSO programme has trained and supported the introduction of restorative practices for 25 years. The website offers news, events, sources, reading tips and research information.
