The federation governs American football and flag football in Finland. It organises the men's and women's national teams and the Vaahteraliiga, or Maple League, competitions. Youth activities include U11, U13 and U15 age groups and a national kicking camp.
The federation issues player licences and sells match tickets. Results can be followed through its live results service and mobile app. American football reached Finland in the late 1970s, with the first national championship played in 1980.
