Founded in 1971, this association brings together comics creators, readers, collectors, critics, translators and researchers. It publishes the quarterly Sarjainfo magazine, organises an annual comics festival and awards the Puupäähattu prize. Its collection holds over 10,000 volumes.
The association's Comics Centre has provided education and events since 2008, with courses for children, professionals and special groups. Activities also include international artist residencies and cultural export projects. The entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
