The educational institution supports its member organisations' cultural and civic work through training, teacher development and course funding. Its eight national member bodies represent around 1,500 local associations, including youth, visual arts and kantele music organisations.
Open courses cover association activities and group leadership, alongside commissioned training. Learning materials for association workers and trainers are published on Peda.net. Courses take place online and at different locations; seminars and discussion events are also organised. The entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
