This professional association represents architects and develops members' skills and Finnish architecture. It publishes Arkkitehti magazine and architecture news, organises competitions and maintains a competition archive and calendar. Its work also includes architecture awards, including the Architecture Finlandia Prize, and statements on planning, building policy and a sustainable built environment.
Members can take part in training, mentoring and an annual professional day. Its qualification register can be used to look up member architects. Local and regional branches and expert committees contribute to its work. Publications include a copyright guide for architects prepared with ATL, another Finnish architects' association.
