The national recreational angling organisation promotes fishing opportunities, sustainable fish stocks and cleaner waters. It works through member clubs and regional districts, running competitions for different experience levels and youth camps, clubs and events.
Members receive Vapaa-ajan Kalastaja magazine five times a year. Benefits are available through the OmaSVK mobile card. Online information covers techniques, species, licences and responsible fishing.
