Founded in 1927, this Helsinki-based organisation serves Finns living abroad, people moving abroad and those returning to Finland. It is an advocacy, expert and service body with members worldwide and runs the Suomalaiset maailmalla (Finns around the world) website. It supports Finnish schools abroad and expatriate associations and media, holds Finnish Expatriate Parliament events and names the Expatriate Finn of the Year.
Its advisory service helps with moving abroad, living abroad and returning to Finland. The website also has a service directory and a blog series on moving back. Office visits must be arranged in advance by email or phone.
