Founded in 1991, the national organisation advocates for unemployed people's rights, income security and wellbeing. It issues statements on legislative proposals and publishes an online magazine covering unemployment, income and health. Activities include food aid, expert-by-experience work and supported holidays.
Its Terveyttä työttömille programme concerns health checks for unemployed people. A wellbeing calendar and exercise break videos are available online. Member associations can attend training and events, including remotely. The website is in Finnish, Swedish and English.
