Founded in 1941, this NGO promotes safe relationships, human rights and wellbeing through research, advocacy and advice. Its population research institute, established in 1946, produces evidence for policy. It represents UNFPA in Finland and works internationally on sexual health and rights.
Services include a sexual counselling chat for under-29s, the Poikien Puhelin helpline for boys and young men, and Perhepulma support for parents. It also runs Hyvä kysymys, an online advice service launched in 2019.
