Founded in 1969, this volunteer association advocates equality for people with intellectual disabilities and supports their families. It belongs to the national support federation and cooperates with other disability organisations.
Membership is open to people with intellectual disabilities and relatives; a guardian enrols under-15s. Members can access federation legal advice and choose Tukiviesti or the easy-Finnish Leija magazine. The association issues two member letters each year and shares service information and peer support resources.
