The volunteer centre forms part of the regional work of the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare, supporting children, young people and families. The district arranges parenting support, family peer groups and volunteering, and supports local associations. Parenting courses include Vahvuutta vanhemmuuteen and Lapsi mielessä.
The organisation's services include helplines for children and young people and for parents. The district also runs victim support in Eastern Finland and mediation in criminal and civil disputes.
