Run by students, the university of applied sciences student union represents student interests and promotes wellbeing. Members can borrow sports equipment and board games, and the union organises events.
The Karelia Friend programme pairs international students with local residents. It mainly uses English, while other languages are also practised, and operates with the WiNK project. This office is at the Wärtsilä campus, with an accessible entrance and car park.
