Mobilia is a national responsibility museum for road transport and automotive history. It was founded in 1986 by Olavi and Lilja Sallinen and grew out of Olavi Sallinen's collection of vintage cars. The museum is run by a foundation backed by 29 automotive and road-traffic organisations. Permanent and changing exhibitions cover the history of road traffic, and there is also a rally museum. It belongs to the Trafiikki museum network of ten Finnish communications and transport museums.
On site are a museum shop, a café, a restaurant and a lunch service. Guided tours, children's areas, a traffic park and a museum bus service are available. Party, meeting and event services can be arranged for companies and hobby clubs. The museum also offers vehicle restoration, collection care and research services, and accessibility information is published on its website.
