This art museum in Kangasala is named after the sculptor and professor Kimmo Pyykkö and is housed in Kangasala-talo, a concrete building that has won several architecture awards. The permanent exhibition Pitkän matkan ateljee traces Pyykkö's career of more than 50 years, alongside changing visual art exhibitions.
A visit usually takes from 20 minutes to two hours. The programme includes guided tours, art workshops for families and children, and artist meetings, with material for schools, nurseries and groups. Event tickets are sold through Lippu.fi. The car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible, and there is a shop and Wi-Fi.
