Founded in 1987, the flying club offers recreational aviation and flight training with its own aircraft. It also undertakes aerial firefighting and search and rescue flights. Based at Rissala airport, its fleet includes a diesel Cessna OH-KLD, while an FK-9 is rented for training.
Membership is open, and members can rent MD 3 Rider and Eurostar ultralights subject to availability. The club advises on training options and provides contacts for aviation medical examiners. Volunteer officers include a flight training lead and a search and rescue group leader.
