Founded in 1967, the basketball club offers teams and training from childhood into older age, including a basketball school for young people needing extra support. Juniors have progressed to national teams and Finland's championship league. The men's senior team has mainly played in Suomi-sarja and the second division, with a season in the championship league in 1980–1981.
Its history includes women's coaching and a wheelchair basketball team in the national championship league. Training and team clothing and bags are sold through an online shop run with Intersport. The annual general meeting is open to all members.
