The regional council works on behalf of North Savo's 19 municipalities and runs regional development projects. Its work includes business, tourism and education initiatives and projects supported by the European Regional Development Fund.
It operates the foreSavo statistics and forecasting service and publishes regional news and a monthly newsletter. The office entrance and car park are wheelchair accessible.
