Founded in 1896, this nature conservation association promotes knowledge and study of nature and environmental protection. Activities include excursions, events and commenting on environmental projects. It has groups for fungi, astronomy, young climate activists and birds, and owns nature areas.
Grants support work including genetics research, nature publications and theses. The natural history collections it founded in 1897 were transferred to the city during the 1970s and 1980s. Its Galleria Luontotupa venue has an accessible entrance and seating, but no accessible toilet or parking.
Share your experience of an excursion or the association in the comments for others interested in nature conservation.
